How It All Got Started
It’s been a year since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. We are frustrated with the World Health Organization and various administrations around the world for the haphazard global response. As of today, thousands of Americans die every day from Covid-19. The global death count is in millions.
That’s just wrong.
STCNextHealth is a collaborative effort of American and Taiwanese engineers and manufacturers. We are engineering the next generation of antimicrobial products to help us stay healthy and slow the pandemic. Lucky for us, we’re in Taiwan - the heart of engineering and supply chain management. This tiny little country has been the secret design and engineering base for your favorite Apple, Dell, and HP products.
To give you a sense of how robust Taiwan’s supply chain is: in January, Taiwan’s total production of disposable masks was less than 2 million a day. By May, Taiwan was on track to produce 19 million a day. Since the beginning of the pandemic, everyone in Taiwan receives a ration of a dozen masks every week. Furthermore, when it comes to masks, Taiwan’s domestic supply chain is largely independent of China.
At STCNextHealth, we are American and Taiwanese designers and manufacturers working together to create the next generation of nonwoven masks for general public use. We know how important it is to work together. That is why we partner with Cypress River Advisors to donate face masks and filter inserts to essential workers. They have helped us make our masks available on a subscription basis.
We know how important it is to quickly scale to make essential products like face masks available to everyone, especially essential workers. They don’t need our praise. They need our support.
So, from all of us at STCNextHealth, thank you for joining us on this journey. Remember, we are always stronger together.
